Description

↓↓
A mobile phone, also called a cell phone, is a portable device used for making calls, sending messages, and accessing the internet. It connects wirelessly to a network, allowing communication from almost anywhere. Modern mobile phones often have cameras, apps, and many other features.

History

↓↓
The concept of mobile communication started during World War II, with military radio systems that allowed for communication over long distances. In the 1950s, the first commercial experiments with mobile telephony began, but it wasn’t until later that these technologies would evolve into something widely available for the public. 1973: The breakthrough moment in mobile phone history occurred when Martin Cooper, an engineer at Motorola, made the first public mobile phone call on a device called the Motorola DynaTAC. This phone weighed about 2.5 pounds (1.1 kg) and had a talk time of only 30 minutes. 1983: Motorola released the DynaTAC 8000X, the first commercially available mobile phone. It was large, bulky, and expensive (around $3,995 at the time), and was mainly used by business professionals and the wealthy.
